Dr. P. Rita Nikiema attended the UNU-WIDER Summer School in collaboration with the Development Policy Research Unit (DPRU) at University of Cape Town (UCT) on labour markets and economic development which was  held at the University of Cape Town on 17-29 November 2019, Cape Town, South Africa.

Participation to the PEP General conference 2019

From 2 to 6 September, the General Conference of the Economic Policy and Partnership Network (PEP) was held in Saly, Senegal. The general objective of the conference was to discuss the shortlisted research projects in order to retain the most relevant ones within the limits of available funding. The researchers were divided into three groups according to the nature of their research project.

Evaluation of the impact of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff on the economy Cabo Verde

From 10 to 14 December, the official launch mission of the study on the impact assessment of the implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) on the Cabo Verde economy was held. The mission was conducted by a team consisting of the Director of Customs, Taxation and Taxes of the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Salifou TIEMTORE, a member of the team of consultants Dr. Yaya KY and the focal point Mr. Guntar CAMPOS. Commissioned by the Ministry of Finance of Cape Verde and funded by the ECOWAS Commission, the study will be conducted by a team of two consultants economists modellers.

Workshop on the return of the unit cost study of training in Guinea

From 22 to 23 May 2019 was held at the hotel Petit Bateau, the workshop of restitution of the study on the evaluation of the unit costs of training in the public university studies and the public technical and professional education in Guinea. The workshop was organized by the BOCEJ. It was attended by the team of consultants and resource persons from the two ministries involved in the study.
